My mother has varicose veins, but they are not very severe; you can see them with the naked eye. She often experiences swelling in her legs, and after walking a lot, she complains about leg pain. She also feels very tired and exhausted. Are varicose veins hereditary?
I usually experience swelling in my legs, and when it gets severe, I often feel that the shoes I wear in the evening after work are loose when I wear them in the morning. After walking for several hours for exercise, I sometimes get bruises on my legs even though I didn't bump into anything. There was also a period when I was feeling very unwell, and after standing for a short time, I felt a tingling and burning sensation below my ankle bone, and it felt strange. When I looked, I saw a thickened vein protruding, and that area was bruised. I observed that the protruding vein quickly subsided, but it took some time for the bruise to disappear. I am wondering if the symptoms I am experiencing are related to varicose veins, and also if varicose veins in parents can be inherited by their children.
