Hello. This is Sunja!
ย
In my late twenties, I had laminate veneers and teeth whitening. My teeth were generally aligned, but there was a slight gap between my front teeth. I looked into orthodontics, but I was told that my teeth would probably gap again anyway. Since my teeth are relatively small and my bite was already well-aligned, two clinics diagnosed that orthodontics wouldn't be meaningful, which led me to consider laminate veneers.
ย
So, we decided to proceed with veneers on the four upper teeth and do whitening together. My teeth were slightly yellowish. They suggested doing whitening once first and then matching the veneer color.
ย
As you know, laminate involves tooth removal. I recommend choosing a clinic that performs minimal removal. After all, your own teeth are the strongest!
ย
Whitening does not involve tooth removal. The whitening procedure I underwent did not include any removal. It was a method of applying a chemical solution and exposing it to light. I saw definite results after just one session.

I can't believe I'm revealing my own teeth! It's more embarrassing than showing my face! ๐ Still, I hope the curious white friends' questions have been answered, so I coolly (?) revealed it.
ย
There is a difference in color between the laminate and my teeth, but I was given a whitening product to manage at home after the whitening procedure. I didn't do it because I found it bothersome. I think if I had used that, the color of the laminate and my teeth might have become more similar.
I remember the hospital telling me at the time that if I continued like this and just took care of it before going to bed at home, it would become even whiter.
ย
The medication and procedures have probably improved more than when I did it, so don't be afraid and go to the hospital!
ย
I recommend both laminates and whitening ๐
