Laminate

My front tooth was chipped, so I glued it with resin.. It's very minor, but I am concerned and it fell off, so I did it twice.. This time, even though it's been almost a year, I am careful and it's okay.. When I told the dentist about the laminate, he told me not to do it.. He said that since it involves grinding the surface, it would be bad as I get older.. So I didn't do it..
