Recently, I was looking into ghost stories related to schizophrenia.

Have you heard of two creepy stories?

 

The first is cutting six fingers.

Someone all day long

"Why do I have six fingers on my hand?"

While having doubts, feeling extremely anxious

In the end, crying and whining, I couldn't find even a single finger.

They searched the whole house. They kept counting their own hands.

They said they were in a panic, thinking about where they might have lost it.

But just before, suddenly saying, "Oh, I used to have five."

Realizing it and finally feeling at ease enough to sleep...

If you thought it was four.

It's terrifying to think that I could have cut off my finger.

 

 

The second is the story of self-enucleation.

This is actually a reported case.

Among patients with schizophrenia, due to hallucinations or delusions

There are cases where individuals dig out their own eyes.

It is said to frequently occur especially in cases with religious delusions or sexual delusions.

A patient once said, "This eye is fake, my eye is deceiving me."

There have been cases where individuals stabbed their own eyes.

Seeing this, I was truly creeped out and stared at the mirror for a while.

I realized I need to check if my eyes are okay...

 

 

Schizophrenia seems to be a truly frightening illness.
