Q. What are the causes and symptoms of presbyopia and cataracts?

Presbyopia is a condition where the ability to focus decreases, making nearby objects difficult to see, and cataracts are a condition where the eye's lens becomes cloudy, leading to decreased vision.

Both of these conditions can be said to occur due to aging of the eyes.

Ultimately, as aging progresses, the lens becomes hard, and the hardened lens can no longer change focus, leading to presbyopia.

When abnormal proteins accumulate in the lens, it becomes cloudy, leading to the development of cataracts.
