Should I undergo cataract surgery?

I have been particularly noticing lately that my eyesight worsens at night.

Although it is said that eyesight worsens with age, it seems that there are various causes for this. The last time I visited the ophthalmologist, they said that my cataracts were slightly progressing and that if it gets worse, I should consider surgery. Since it is not severe yet, they advised to monitor it a bit longer, but I am worried that my vision has deteriorated more because it gets worse at night. Cataract surgery is relatively simple, but somehow I am still afraid and haven't done it yet. Haha
