Mother and daughter's Type A flu treatment review

Two weeks ago, starting from Sunday, I suddenly began to shiver and my condition started to worsen.

I just thought I might have a cold, so I didn't go to the hospital since it was the weekend.

I had a high fever overnight, and from the next day, I was in so much pain.

Even after taking Tylenol, the fever didn't go down easily, and my throat felt like it was burning.

When I went to the hospital, my daughter was diagnosed with a cold without a fever and was prescribed medication.

I also received a prescription for Tamiflu and other medications to manage the symptoms.

 

After taking the medication, the nausea improved immediately that day.

The fever lasted about three more days before getting better.

I had really severe sore throat and phlegm.ㅜ

Therefore, I hardly had any voice.

 

 

Meanwhile, my daughter started to get a fever ㅠ

My husband has to go to work, so I, who am sick, am taking care of my sick daughter.

They went to the hospital, struggling and grumbling, haha.

The doctor said I probably have the flu and suggested I get tested right away.

Wow. It came out in voice.

I learned for the first time then that the flu, like COVID-19, has both rapid tests and PCR tests.

Received from the hospital so far

The test that used to give results in 20 minutes after a nasal swab was a rapid test.

The doctor is almost certain that my daughter has the flu, but the rapid test did not show positive.

He said let's do a PCR test that can detect even small amounts of the virus.

In the end, I only stabbed him twice that day ㅠ

Is the cost also 150,000 won for PCR?

I paid over 200,000 won for the hospital bill that day along with the rapid test...;;

Fortunately, insurance claims are possible.. haha

 

The test results came out the next morning.

As expected, the flu... I went straight to the hospital and received prescriptions for Tamiflu and other symptom medications.

 

 

My daughter also had a fever for about three days, and she had severe phlegm and sore throat.

Fortunately, since she is resistant to heat, even with a fever exceeding 38 degrees,

It's actually good that I didn't go to school lol. I finally had a good rest after a long time.

 

So, the daughter took the medication for five days and then returned to the hospital.

I thought everything was over, but I developed otitis mediaㅠ

Doctors usually say that by the time children reach early elementary school, they are less likely to develop ear infections even if they catch a cold.

As expected, the flu isn't just called the flu for nothing...ㅠ
