My house, or rather my painkiller, is always Tylenol!
Even since I was young, I have had migraines.
I didn't like taking headache medicine, so I would just sleep and wake up feeling refreshed.
I tend to fall asleep just by resting my head... so even when I have a headache, falling asleep can be a bit difficult.
If I lie down, I end up falling asleep before I realize it.
My mother and younger sister are quite sensitive and have migraines, so they lived with Gevorin.
There were times when even taking two pills didn't work because of tolerance.
So, I end up not taking Gevorin anymore...
At first, I heard about the side effects of Geborin, so I chose to sleep instead of taking headache medicine...
If I start having a headache early in the afternoon after becoming a college student, I can't proceed with my afternoon plans.
I thought I just couldn't do it, so I first tried Tylenol at that time.
Since others say they take two pills, I decided to try just one, and the effects were really good.
When my head starts to throb, taking one Tylenol usually clears my headache within an hour.
If you can't take Tylenol early on and can't relieve the headache, does it then feel like someone's drilling into your head?
All the blood vessels in my head are pounding, and my head hurts so much that even taking Tylenol doesn't help.
I have also struggled for hours crying.
I even thought about hitting my head with a hammer just to escape the pain... haha
So since then, I've been experiencing headaches, and if I feel like the pain is intense, I take Tylenol.
Moreover, menstrual cramps! These were the worst in my twenties to early thirties.
At that time, taking one Tylenol would relieve the pain, so I always kept Tylenol on hand.
My husband is someone who doesn't know much about headaches and doesn't usually get high fevers or colds.
They don't really understand me well and don't seem to know that we always need to have painkillers available.
Since I occasionally have migraines, I keep more than two boxes of Tylenol at home.
I feel more at ease when I carry 1-2 Tylenol in each of my bags... haha
However, due to COVID-19, Tylenol has truly become an essential household medicine that must be kept at home!
I can't even tell you how anxious I was because of the Tylenol shortage... haha
Since there was no 500mg Tylenol, I bought even the Tylenol ER tablets just in case.
This is Tylenol available at our house.
This is Tylenol 500 milligrams, the painkiller I mainly take.
When you open it, there are a total of 8 pills inside.
It is designed so that children cannot open it easily.
Tylenol is a white tablet like the one in the picture.
It is a fast-acting, soothing fever reducer and pain reliever containing only acetaminophen, caffeine-free, and dye-free.
It exhibits a rapid and strong therapeutic effect for 4 hours with a fixed dose.
The photo on the right below shows the efficacy/effects and usage/dosage of Tylenol.
It is a painkiller that can be used on an empty stomach regardless of whether it is before or after meals, as it causes minimal burden on gastrointestinal disorders.
Tylenol 500mg is
It begins to dissolve immediately after taking.
It dissolves completely within 5 minutes.
It is said to be effective in relieving pain within 15 minutes.
This is a photo taken from the Tylenol homepage.
This is an experiment where Tylenol is placed in water and fully dissolves within 5 minutes (the tablet completely dissolves into molecular form).
And this is Tylenol ER extended-release tablet.
*Seobangjeong refers to a formulation of medication designed to be released slowly over a long period of time.
Acetaminophen is a single ingredient of 650mg. Are you wondering what "8 hours" means?
The effect lasts for 8 hours. Although absorption is slow, the pain relief effect lasts for 8 hours.
For persistent pain such as muscle pain, joint pain, or lower back pain... you should use EAL extended-release tablets.
Below is a photo of the Tylenol ER extended-release tablets available at our home.
Eal Extended-Release Tablets contain a total of 6 pills, and since they last for 8 hours, taking them three times a day ensures 24-hour effectiveness. These Eal extended-release tablets also have minimal impact on gastrointestinal discomfort, so they can be used on an empty stomach regardless of whether it's before or after meals as a pain reliever.
It is said that there are over 150 types of painkillers distributed and sold domestically.
Nevertheless, during this COVID-19 period, Tylenol was so popular that it experienced shortages.
Tylenol is an antipyretic and analgesic produced and sold by Johnson & Johnson, an American pharmaceutical company.
As mentioned above, the main component is acetaminophen.
As I wrote in the previous children's fever reducer choice, acetaminophen is
It is effective for fever reduction and pain relief, with almost no side effects. It can be used after 4 months of age.
Usually, in pediatrics, acetaminophen in dry powder form is frequently prescribed for children with fever.
The main products include Tylenol and Gevorin for adults, and for children, SetaPen syrup and Red Champ are well-known.
Acetaminophen is widely used in cold medicines and fever reducers, so it is important to know if other medications contain the same ingredient. All fever reducers should not be taken above the recommended daily dose to avoid overloading the liver and causing side effects.
(Of course, adults should avoid drinking alcohol that strains the liver when taking cold medicine or Tylenol, and they should also avoid consuming caffeine at the same time, as it interferes with ingredient absorption.)
Because it has fewer side effects, it was the most sought after reason during the last COVID-19 pandemic.
This time, while looking into Tylenol, I realized that there are many different types of Tylenol.
I've always been fine with 500mg.
These are the types of Tylenol currently sold on the website.
In addition to the 500mg and the Eal Sustained-Release Tablets discussed above, let's look at other products as well~
