Having experienced the warning signs of CRPS firsthand, I initially had no idea that they were. I simply thought my injury was hurting for a little longer than usual, but as time passed, the pain persisted and strange sensations began to develop. I am sharing my experience with the warning signs of CRPS in case anyone is curious.
At first, it was a minor injury, but the pain lasted longer than I expected. I thought it would get better after a few days, but instead of the pain subsiding, I felt like I was becoming more sensitive. Looking back now, I think that was an early warning sign of CRPS.
One of the early warning signs of CRPS that I experienced was that even minor stimuli caused intense pain. I felt uncomfortable and aching even when my clothes brushed against me or I was just lightly touched, so I felt that it was definitely different from my usual self. As these symptoms continued, I began to feel that it wasn't just simple pain.
Another warning sign of CRPS was that the painful area frequently swelled and felt warm. On some days, the area felt warm, while on others it felt cold, and it also appeared to turn slightly red. I later learned that these changes were also among the warning signs of CRPS.
Over time, my joint movement also became a bit uncomfortable. As I naturally reduced my movement due to the pain, I started to feel increasingly stiff, and I was told that this could also be related to the warning signs of CRPS.
The CRPS warning signs I experienced were prolonged pain, a feeling of sensitivity to even minor stimuli, and changes such as swelling and a sensation of heat.
While CRPS warning signs can vary from person to person, if you experience persistent pain that is different from your usual condition, it is advisable not to ignore it and to seek medical consultation.
