Can I go get acupuncture after dorsal foot surgery?

A few months ago, after a dorsal foot fracture surgery, a pin is still embedded inside the top of my foot.

I am scheduled to have surgery to remove it in two months.

It still takes a little longer, possibly due to the surgery, and the top of the foot swells and feels numb.

Can I go get acupuncture in this situation?

You probably shouldn't get acupuncture before removing the pin, right?
