Neutral Vitamin C without heartburn, Solgar Ester-C Plus
Solga Ester-C
This is Solgar's vitamin C product from the United States.
The first thing I look at when choosing a supplement is whether it is NON-GMO and what certifications it has received.
Most of Solgar's products are not only non-GMO but also certified kosher.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What is kosher certification?
They have certification standards for foods eaten by Jews that are more stringent than halal certification.
Harmful ingredients, genetic modifications, and overall manufacturing hygiene inspections, including over 70 items such as wounds or inflammation in animals, and cooking utensils must only be used with utensils designated for kosher foods.
Recently, following Europe and the United States, it is also recognized as an important certification in our country. Renewed annually for safe and clean food.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And as seen in the picture, it says that there are no gluten, flour, or dairy products added, making it a product that is also 부담없는 for vegans.
It is 500ml * 250 capsules (there is also a 1000ml product). Unfortunately, the domestically sold product has the same bottle shape but is divided into smaller units for sale, and the price is also slightly higher. I imported it directly and it is labeled as 250 capsules.
(For your reference, Solgar products tend to be relatively expensive even when purchased directly from abroad, but they are popular and often out of stock.)
The biggest difference from other vitamin C products is that it is a neutral vitamin.

ESTER-C?
Esther-C has high absorption and bioavailability, and was patented in the United States in 1989 for its manufacturing process.
Neutralized vitamin C in the form of calcium ascorbate containing tranexamic acid, which can be taken on an empty stomach.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This product neutralizes the acidity of vitamin C, making it possible to take on an empty stomach and comfortable for people with sensitive stomachs. It also has a higher absorption rate and utilization efficiency in the body compared to regular vitamins.

The photo below is cut off. It says that it does not contain gluten, wheat flour, dairy products, soy, sugar, yeast, sodium, artificial fragrances, artificial sweeteners, or artificial colors.
The size of the pill is appropriate and not uncomfortable for adults to swallow. Other multivitamins sometimes got stuck in my throat, making me drink more water, but I have never experienced that with this product.
The recommended dosage is to take it twice a day with water.
Vitamin C is water-soluble, so any excess intake beyond what is needed is excreted in the urine, which is why it is recommended to divide the intake and take it twice.
There is a method of intake that maximizes the benefits of vitamin C by taking more than the recommended daily amount of 2000mg through megadosing, but since it can cause kidney stones or gastrointestinal issues, it doesn't seem advisable.
Whenever I feel a slight cold coming on or my body feels tired, I make sure to take extra care and eat accordingly. And I think I'm also seeing enough effects from it.
If you're looking to purchase a vitamin C product, I recommend Solgar's Ester C Plus.~~
