Are there any people who do not experience glare after LASIK (or LASEK) surgery?^^

I had LASIK surgery 16 years ago^^
Did wearing contact lenses for a long time cause the cornea to become thinner?
I was recommended LASIK but underwent LASEK surgery instead.
