Cabbage, which has recently been gaining popularity as a diet food, is one of the 'world's top three longevity foods' selected by Time magazine.

 

Above all, it is known to be excellent in preventing many stomach-related diseases among Koreans.

 

The sulforaphane component in cabbage inhibits the activity of Helicobacter pylori, which causes stomach cancer. And vitamin U helps relieve gastric ulcers.

 

Additionally, the rich dietary fiber content is good for regulating blood sugar levels and lowering cholesterol.

 

It only has about 24 kcal per 100 g, and its water content reaches 90%, helping to maintain a feeling of fullness.


It is also rich in vitamin C, which helps boost immunity and aids in iron absorption.

 

It is rich in lysine and calcium, which are essential amino acids, so it is also good for growth.

In particular, it is known to be rich in polyphenols, which have antioxidant and anti-aging effects, and also contains indole-3-carbinol, which has anti-cancer properties, helping prevent cancer.

 

However, despite its many benefits, you should be careful because eating too much can be uncomfortable.
