Is it possible to perform hair transplantation only on the crown area?

Although my hair is generally thin and sparse, the crown area is particularly bald. Right now, I tie my hair up, so it's okay, but I heard that tying hair can prevent heat dissipation and may lead to more hair loss. The hair salon director also often suggests cutting my hair short. I tend to have a lot of heat in my head and get pimples frequently. However, because the crown area is so bald, I can't really go with a short hairstyle. Is partial hair transplantation possible only for the crown area?
