8 Symptoms of Endometriosis and Reviews of Medication Treatment

I was diagnosed with endometriosis through an ultrasound after visiting the gynecology department due to severe menstrual pain.

I will share my story of drug treatment for endometriosis along with the symptoms, so I think it would be good for women to check it out at least once.

I will also leave tips on how to prevent endometriosis.

 

 

Since I had some menstrual cramps even before my first period, it seems like my usual menstrual cramps have just started again as usual.

This time, it's a bit more serious, isn't it? I experienced this cycle about twice.

However, the pain is unbearable, and I felt that something was seriously wrong, so I visited the obstetrics and gynecology department.

 

 

Following the doctor's consultation, an ultrasound examination was performed.

Endometriosis is a disease in which the precursor tissue and stroma of the endometrium attach and proliferate in areas of the body other than the uterus.

Since the uterus is a very important part of a woman's body, prompt treatment is necessary.

 

The causes of endometriosis are various.

The tissue of the endometrium implants outside the uterus and causes it.

Cells that make up the pelvic peritoneum develop from transformed tissue.

Immune deficiency acts as a factor.

It occurs due to genetic factors.

I think I can organize it to this extent.

 

I visited because I was experiencing very severe menstrual cramps.

Endometriosis can cause pain such as pelvic pain and pain during intercourse.

If you experience such pain, get diagnosed through an ultrasound or laparoscopic examination like I did.

 

It might be helpful to perform self-diagnosis by referring to the early symptoms of endometriosis.

 

Vaginal bleeding due to irregular uterine bleeding
- Large amount of menstrual flow
Foul-smelling vaginal discharge
Discomfort around the vulva
Vaginal bleeding after menopause
Vaginal bleeding after sexual intercourse
Yellowish liquid vaginal discharge
- Pressure sensation occurring in the abdomen, pelvis, and legs

 

I am not in a severe state of endometriosis, so I received medication treatment.

I have been taking the prescribed medication consistently.

Since estrogen promotes the growth of endometrial tissue, I took hormone suppressants that inhibit estrogen synthesis.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In cases of severe endometriosis, surgical treatment is also performed.

Usually, surgery is performed through laparoscopic procedures.

They said they will perform open surgery only if the symptoms are severe or if the patient no longer wishes to be pregnant.
