Recently, I felt a tingling pain in my chest, so I went to the hospital for a check-up.
However, I found a slightly irregular lump as a result.
I was asked to do a cautious examination, so I proceeded with the test.
When I visited the hospital a week later to see the results,
I was advised to undergo a mammotomy procedure for a lump that isn't cancerous but wouldn't be good to leave untreated.
When I told my mom, she said she would prefer me to go to a university hospital and undergo the procedure just in case.
I just find moving hospitals bothersome, and I also dislike the hassle of having to undergo tests. Since I heard that the mammotomy procedure is simple, I hoped to have the procedure at the hospital I was already visiting.
Since my parents were so persistent, I had no choice but to visit the university hospital with a referral letter for treatment.
Why all of a sudden???๐ณ
The doctor said there's no need for a procedure... The size is small, and it's not yet at the stage for surgery, so they just scheduled a follow-up check in six months and went home.
Oh, geez!!! LOL
The cost of the mammotomy procedure isn't cheap either (these days, everyone is getting this procedure, so insurance is reluctant to cover it).
I almost lost hundreds of dollars, haha.
If you have similar concerns like mine, don't just listen to one hospital's opinion, I recommend visiting a larger hospital.
