Which gender's contraception method is less burdensome for health?
Hello! I am someone who is very interested in health-related information and often look for various materials.
Yesterday, I watched an interesting scene on a TV program. It was a couple arguing over contraception methods, with the man suggesting that the woman should take birth control pills. On the other hand, the woman preferred using condoms. As they discussed from their own perspectives, it seemed like they couldn't understand each other.
Watching that scene, I suddenly became curious. In terms of health impact and side effects, what are the differences between male and female contraception methods?
In the case of women, there are various methods such as hormonal contraceptives, intrauterine devices, and implants, but most of them seem to require hormonal changes or physical intervention. For men, the most common methods appear to be mainly condoms or vasectomy.
From a medical perspective, I am really curious about which method has relatively less health burden and what the advantages and disadvantages of each are. Of course, individual differences and circumstances vary, but I am talking about general standards.
If anyone has knowledge about this kind of matter, I would really appreciate your advice. I believe that understanding and consideration for each other are important for a healthy relationship.
