I usually have severe menstrual cramps, so I was prescribed painkillers after an ultrasound.
I usually have very severe menstrual crampsㅠㅠ
The pain is so severe that I can't bear it without taking painkillers. I have been taking over-the-counter liquid painkillers from the pharmacy every time, but the menstrual pain was still difficult even after taking medication, so I visited an obstetrics and gynecology clinic for treatment.
When I registered for treatment at the hospital using a tablet, I received a message like this.
There were a lot of pregnant women, so I waited a bit before seeing the doctor. I told the doctor that I usually have severe menstrual cramps and sometimes still feel pain even after taking medication. The doctor suggested doing an ultrasound. After the ultrasound, it was confirmed that my uterus was healthy. The doctor said there were no issues inside the uterus and that it was primary dysmenorrhea.
But why am I feeling this way so intensely..ㅠㅠ There could be various reasons, but they didn't give a clear explanation of the exact cause.
I looked up what primary menstrual cramps are after coming out.
Oh, I see, I studied about menstrual cramps. I'm relieved to hear that it's primary dysmenorrhea. :)
The director told me to try taking painkillers without any special explanation, saying it's primary menstrual pain. If it's too severe, there are opioid painkillers, but he told me not to use them. I don't think it's that bad myself.
These are the painkillers prescribed to me. There are three pills in total!
I thought, why is there so much when I only need one pill from the pharmacy...
The director told me that I have a severe condition, so I should take medication before my period. Therefore, this month I started taking it from the day before my period began.
I took the medication and started my period, and I really didn't feel any pain at all. I think the prescribed medication suited me well. I took it in advance and kept to the schedule, taking the medication consistently until the second day of my period, so I was able to get through this month without difficulty. The pain used to be so intense and overwhelming, so I can't believe how good it feels now...ㅠㅠ
You can buy medication at the pharmacy, but if you are experiencing severe menstrual pain like me, I think you should regularly visit an obstetrician and gynecologist to monitor your uterus consistently and receive appropriate prescriptions.
Although visiting the obstetrics and gynecology clinic can be uncomfortable, I still think it's important to visit frequently for prevention. The consultation takes about 5 minutes, so I endure the inconvenience a bit... Let's protect our uterine health :) Usually, I wonder why I have such severe menstrual cramps... Sometimes I search frequently, worry, and feel anxious, but after seeing and confirming my uterus through a gynecological ultrasound, I felt much relieved and my worries disappeared.
I have primary menstrual cramps, so I take painkillers.
Just eat it, and try to be cautious and make an effort to prevent menstrual pain in everyday life.
