Sharing my review of Gangnam Suyeon Eye Clinic and eye exam

I didn't have much information when deciding on a LASIK clinic. So, I diligently searched and decided to visit a few reputable clinics frequently mentioned on internet forums and blogs. First up: Suyeon Eye Clinic in Gangnam!

I made a reservation by phone about a week in advance, and the person answering the phone was incredibly friendly. Since there were several directors present, making a reservation wasn't difficult. I was able to easily book a date and time that suited my needs. Being in Gangnam, it was conveniently accessible from the Express Bus Terminal, and the hospital's location was conveniently close to the subway station. The interior was luxurious and clean. While it was quite busy, perhaps because it was reservation-based, I didn't have to wait long.

I left my luggage in the cabinet and began the actual eye exam. I started with the Lipiview test. Unlike other ophthalmology clinics, I was happy to be able to measure tear production using a machine. The other tests seemed similar to other hospitals. The vision test seemed a bit looser than other clinics, but the results were not significantly different. After the eye exam, it was time for a consultation with the director. The director I chose had a pleasant personality and was very thorough in explaining everything I had questions about. I had another consultation with Optometrist Love. They explained side effects, surgery costs, and more. They administered dilated eye drops at this time, but I declined the test because I'd heard that retinal exams at other clinics showed no significant abnormalities. After the consultation, they gave me a file of my results. My vision and other results seemed similar to other clinics. The location was great, and the facilities were clean and luxurious, which was nice. I was also very satisfied with the thorough and confident explanations given by the doctor in charge. The optometrist seemed friendly and helpful, and while he wasn't overly thorough, I guess different optometrists have different styles. The machines were good, and the results seemed acceptable. I decided to compare other clinics before making my decision.
