Record of symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome felt as repeated bodily abnormalities
I often experience symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome with frequent abdominal discomfort.
Although there were no particular abnormalities during the examination, the cause of the irritable bowel syndrome symptoms was discovered.
I managed my IBS symptoms by adjusting my lifestyle.
At first, I simply thought it was a simple case of frequent stomachaches. However, even without eating anything particularly bad, I began experiencing recurring abdominal bloating and frequent abdominal pain. Before going out or on important days, my IBS symptoms became particularly severe, requiring frequent bathroom visits.
I felt like my intestines were reacting first, especially in situations where I was tense or stressed. I had alternating bouts of diarrhea and constipation, and the twisting pain in my abdomen made it difficult to concentrate. When this continued, I visited a hospital, and tests revealed no underlying problems, and I was diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome.
The doctor emphasized that stress management and improving eating habits were key. Initially, I was skeptical, but after maintaining consistent meal times and reducing irritable foods, the intensity of my IBS symptoms gradually decreased. The pain, especially in the morning on an empty stomach, was noticeably reduced.
Since then, I've become more mindful of my physical condition. Whenever my condition fluctuates, I immediately think of IBS symptoms and adjust my schedule accordingly. While the symptoms haven't completely disappeared, the fact that I can manage them on my own has reduced my anxiety.
Even now, when stress builds up, IBS symptoms resurface, but I don't panic like I used to. This experience has made me realize clearly through IBS symptoms that the body and mind are connected.
