Do I need root canal treatment because of a cavity in my molar?

I went to the dentist for a cavity check, and some places said I needed root canal treatment,

Some places said that you shouldn't kill the nerve of the molar.

So, I'm a bit conflicted.

I feel this every time, but since the treatment varies from dental clinic to dental clinic, it makes me hesitate a bit.

They recommended an implant rather than a root canal, so I'm worried about what to do.

As I get older, I'm becoming more and more concerned about my dental health.

I feel like it's getting more painful... haha. I'm sad.

I think the dentist is really scary, even as you get older.
