About a year ago, I first got two small calluses on my feet.
This is a review of laser treatment for stys after several treatment methods.
I share why it took me a year and the methods I used to get rid of my styes.
I used to have clean soles, but last year I suddenly got two calluses on my feet.
In my opinion, I had a pair of sneakers that were a little too big for me. They weren't that big, so I just wore them, but my feet would hurt on days when I walked for a long time. I think that's probably why I got calluses. People say that calluses usually happen when you wear shoes that are too small, but I think they can happen when you wear shoes that are too big. Of course, I don't wear those sneakers anymore!
The first method used to treat styes was the sty band. It is the most commonly used method.
The principle of using a callus band is to remove the callus when it has swelled and softened due to the salicylic acid component.
To cut to the chase, I didn't see any results from this band for my stys.
If you look at other reviews, they say that if you attach it for a short period of 5 days or a long period of 1 week to 10 days, then remove it and reattach it, the callus will gradually die and the corn will come out.
A photo of my foot with a corn bandage applied to treat the corn.
I put it on for about 5 days and then took it off and repeated it four or five times. I could see a round callus in the middle, but it was so deep that the callus core just wouldn't come out.
The white, swollen part was already dead flesh, so it didn't hurt, but when I tried to artificially dig out the middle part, it hurt so much that I couldn't touch it.
I used a sty band for almost a month, but it only made my skin feel worse and gave me a burning sensation, and it failed to treat my sty 😭
And the second time I used eye drops, but this didn't work even better than the eye band. It just peeled off my skin.
I thought I could remove it myself without going to the hospital because it was small, but after that failure, I basically gave up on getting treatment for the sty.
It didn't hurt at all when I touched it with my hand, so I just left it alone, but when it seemed to be an eyesore, I cut it off with nail clippers.
But... was it a problem that I touched it with these nail clippers?
After I cut it with nail clippers, that area started to hurt...ㅠㅠ
I put up with it for a while and eventually went to a dermatologist...
There are cryotherapy, laser treatment, and surgery to remove styes, but since I was told that surgery was not necessary, I decided to treat my styes with laser treatment, which could be done in one treatment.
Laser treatment involves administering an anesthetic injection and then shooting a laser, so the process is very quick.
The laser didn't hurt, but as expected, the anesthesia injection hurt.
After applying Medifoam, I went back the next day to get a dressing, put a bandage on again, and took the bandage off the next day.

Bye
The freckles were removed really cleanly!! The laser effect is perfect!
Did you get rid of the sty just right?
There is a hole in the area where the sty was removed, and new skin is growing out of it.
Considering how much the bandage on top had crushed my skin, I should have gotten laser treatment a long time ago and suffered for a year.
If you have failed to treat your styes on your own, I highly recommend laser treatment and absolutely no nail clippers!
