Has anyone had a cataract examination?

I'm interested in learning about cataract examinations!

 

Recently, I feel like my eyesight is gradually getting worse, so I am planning to get a cataract examination.

For those who have undergone cataract examinations, what kind of tests did they receive, and how were the results?

Cataracts are a condition where the eye's lens becomes cloudy, and symptoms such as decreased vision, glare, and double vision may occur.

Cataracts are most commonly caused by aging, but they can also occur due to various factors such as trauma, diabetes, smoking, and excessive exposure to ultraviolet rays! So, I am considering getting a cataract examination.

 

Cataract examinations can be performed at an ophthalmology clinic, and the methods of examination are mainly as follows.

Vision test: A test to check how much your eyesight has deteriorated by looking at the eye chart.

Fundus examination: A test that observes the inside of the eye to check the condition of the lens.

OCT scan: A test that precisely measures the thickness and structure of the lens.

 

 

Refraction test: A basic examination to measure the eye's refractive power for prescribing glasses or lenses.

 

Before undergoing cataract testing, I am taking care of my eye health as it is recommended to pay attention to eye health regularly.

They told me to get enough rest and apply sunscreen!
