Has anyone had a cataract checkup?

I'm looking into cataract screening, so I have a question!

 

Lately, my eyesight seems to be gradually deteriorating, so I plan to get a cataract examination.

Cataracts are a condition in which the lens of the eye becomes cloudy, and symptoms such as decreased vision, glare, and double vision may occur.

I heard that while cataracts are most often caused by aging, they can also result from various other factors such as trauma, diabetes, smoking, and excessive exposure to ultraviolet rays! So, I am thinking of getting a cataract checkup.

 

Cataract examinations can be performed at an ophthalmology clinic, and the examination methods are broadly as follows.

Vision Test: This is a test to check how much your vision has deteriorated by looking at a vision chart.

Fundus examination: An examination to check the condition of the lens by observing the inside of the eye.

OCT Examination: An examination that precisely measures the thickness and structure of the lens.

 

 

Refraction test: A basic examination that measures the refractive power of the eye to prescribe glasses or lenses.

 

I am taking care of my eye health because I heard it is good to pay attention to it in daily life before getting a cataract examination.
