There is no evidence that taking a daily multivitamin can reduce the risk of death from cancer or cardiovascular diseases.

 

Contrary to expectations, the mortality rate was 4% higher among people who took daily multivitamins compared to those who did not.

 

7. The researchers suggest that further studies are needed to understand why taking multivitamins in the future may increase the risk of death.

 

8. Multivitamins are not as effective as people expect.

 

9. Nutrients such as vitamins and minerals are best obtained through food for optimal health.

 

Vitamin supplements are only necessary when it's difficult to consume fresh foods.
