First, prepare the banana peel.

During the summer, you can see fruit flies easily attracted to bananas stored at room temperature. As they prefer this fruit, it is easy to make a fruit fly trap using bananas.

 

It's okay to use banana pulp, but I feel it's a waste to use expensive bananas.

So, it's okay to use only the leftover peel after eating. Please cut the prepared banana peel into small pieces.

 

 

 

Prepare a small PET bottle.

Approximately 500ml PET bottles are enough. Please put all the banana peels prepared here into it.

 

 

 

After placing the banana peel, wrap the opening of the PET bottle with plastic wrap. 

And prepare a straw, cut it diagonally at the front and back, then insert it.

When inserting the straw, only raise the top part about 1-2cm, and insert the bottom part deeply. This way, a trap is created that makes it difficult for fruit flies to enter easily and escape.

 

 

 

After creating the trap, place it near the sink where fruit flies are most likely to appear. 

If you leave it for a few days, you'll soon see fruit flies inside.

 

 

After catching the fruit fly, hold the plastic bottle and shake it several times.
