What could it be if pimples or similar bumps have appeared on my chin and neck?

It's hard to say it's acne because of my age, so it doesn't seem quite right to call it that. It's not particularly uncomfortable, but it's not very ugly either. However, when I wash my face or occasionally touch it, I feel a slight roughness, as if my skin has that texture. I'm not sure, but I think others might see it unfavorably from an external appearance. I'm not someone who pays close attention to my skin, so I don't plan to visit a dermatologist. Should I be worried that this might be a disease or something problematic? Or could it just be a simple curiosity? What could this be?
