My mother had Bell's palsy some time ago and suffered a lot. Fortunately, she went to the hospital early, received antiviral treatment, and although it took a long time, she recovered without any aftereffects, and her facial expressions returned to normal. I heard that if you miss the golden time for this disease, it can leave permanent facial paralysis and won't recover.
