Chungnam Taean Cheollipo Arboretum will not charge admission fees to examinees presenting their exam tickets until the end of the year.

The arboretum announced on the 15th that it will hold an event offering free admission only to examinees who bring their test admission tickets until the 31st of next month, to comfort and encourage students who have struggled preparing for the college entrance exam (CSAT).

Currently, the arboretum features maples, windmill trees, and camellias that have begun to change color and bloom, allowing visitors to fully experience the late autumn atmosphere.

Cheonlipo Arboretum, the first private arboretum in Korea, was established by Dr. Min Byung-gal (Cal Harris Miller), who was born in Pennsylvania, USA, in 1921 and naturalized as a Korean citizen, starting from purchasing the land in 1962.

The total area of 59 hectares is divided into seven regions: Miller Garden, Eco Healing Center, Magnolia Garden, Nangsae Island, Conifer Garden, General Garden, and Big Valley, each featuring a variety of plants suited to their respective environments.

Director Kim Geon-ho said, "We prepared this free admission event for students who have struggled preparing for the college entrance exam," and added, "We hope they can heal their tired bodies and minds at the arboretum, where the autumn leaves and camellia flowers are in full bloom."
