This is a review of removing the endometrial tissue after seeing a mass of abnormal bleeding.
I would like to share my experience of experiencing severe abnormal bleeding as a side effect of a female hormone medication and undergoing a procedure to scrape out the endometrium.
The causes of abnormal bleeding are said to be mainly five in number.
Taking emergency contraception pills first
In the case of second pregnancy with uterine disease
The third is when a wound occurs in the uterus after sexual intercourse.
The fourth is early pregnancy.
Fifth is the self-symptoms of cervical cancer
In cases like this, since abnormal bleeding can occur in various situations and symptoms persist for several days, I believe it is important for health to visit an obstetrics and gynecology clinic for an accurate diagnosis.
I also learned how to check for abnormal bleeding.
First, it is to check the amount of bleeding.
In the case of normal menstruation, the bleeding usually gradually decreases after 1 to 3 days, but if the bleeding does not decrease and continues, it should be suspected.
The second is to check the duration of ongoing bleeding.
In the case of normal menstruation, most periods end within 5 to 7 days, but in the case of abnormal bleeding, it usually lasts longer than 7 days.
Third, observe the color of the bleeding.
In normal menstruation, the color changes to light pink, red, or purple. In the case of abnormal bleeding, mucus may be visible or it may appear black, and clots are often present. Please use this as a reference to distinguish it from normal menstruation.
However, due to the side effects of the female hormone medication, I experienced severe abnormal bleeding.
I experienced a large amount of abnormal bleeding that couldn't be covered by regular sanitary pads, to the point of using adult diapers.
I heard that after changing the medication three times, there was a small uterine fibroid and it seems that side effects have occurred.
Additionally, due to the large amount of bleeding, a curettage procedure to scrape the endometrial lining was necessary.
Since I have changed medications several times and experienced tremendous anxiety during the procedure, I can no longer take irregular bleeding lightly.
If you experience abnormal bleeding and notice a lump, it indicates an abnormality in the endometrium, so please be sure to visit an obstetrician and gynecologist.
