Starting tomorrow, it will begin to get cold, and on Thursday, the morning temperature in Seoul will drop to minus 12 degrees Celsius, bringing the strongest cold wave of this winter.

The Korea Meteorological Administration announced that a strong cold wave reaching as low as -40°C will descend over the northern airspace of our country this week, bringing the coldest weather.

The morning temperature in Seoul will be below freezing at -6°C tomorrow and the day after, dropping to as low as -12°C on Thursday, with the perceived temperature approaching -20°C.

A cold wave is expected to continue, with the perceived temperature remaining around minus 10 degrees Celsius even during the daytime.

Especially in the Jeonbuk region, heavy snowfall of up to 40cm is expected from tomorrow until Thursday, so special caution is necessary.

The Korea Meteorological Administration warned that cold waves will continue until the weekend morning, and heavy, strong snow will persist in the Honam and Chungnam regions until the latter part of the week. They urged thorough preparation for frozen pipe accidents and damage to facilities.
