It is understood that the three siblings who died in a traffic accident around 2 a.m. on the 4th in Sunchang County, Jeonbuk, were visiting their maternal grandparents' house when the incident occurred.

Ms. A (25, female), who lives in Busan, and her three siblings B (18) and C (17) visited their maternal uncle's house on the 2nd to celebrate the start of their vacation and holiday.

It is known that they went to Suncheon town in a one-ton truck driven by their cousin, Mr. D (22), on the evening of the 3rd.

Mr. D, who drank alcohol in the town of Sunchang, caused an accident on a curved road while returning home with his cousins in the early morning. As a result of the accident, all three siblings except Mr. D died. His blood alcohol concentration was measured at 0.08%, the level at which his license was revoked.

The police detained Mr. D on charges of drunk driving under the Road Traffic Act and manslaughter under the Special Act on Traffic Accident Handling.

The police stated, "Mr. D is currently seriously injured and receiving hospital treatment," and "Once he recovers to some extent, we plan to investigate and apply for an arrest warrant."
