Diagnosed with nephritis about a year ago

I had a test about a year ago and was diagnosed with nephritis.

The hospital said that even with continued testing, it's not serious, so let's observe a bit more.

I haven't taken any medication or taken any other measures so far, is it okay to continue without treatment like this?
Is nephritis a not very serious illness?
