Do cosmetics that claim to remove dark spots actually work?

These days, there are various treatments and cosmetics claiming to remove dark spots, right?

Dermatology is said to be effective, but since it varies depending on skin type, I'm worried because my skin is thin.

Do you think there might be any effect from using cosmetics at home? Will there be any effect?

I'm curious if there are anyone using products for dark spots.
