Olivia Hotsoe, who gained fame for her role as Juliet in the movie 'Romeo and Juliet,' has passed away at the age of 73.
On the 28th (Korean time), Hotsee's official Instagram posted, "Olivia Hotsee peacefully passed away surrounded by loved ones, and we are deeply saddened to share the news of her passing."
The author stated, "He was born on April 17, 1951, in Buenos Aires, Argentina," and "He lived a life filled with passion, love, dedication to art, and kindness towards animals."
He said, "He was warm, wise, and pure in kindness, and an amazing person who inspired everyone who knew him," and expressed gratitude for everyone's love and prayers.
It is reported that Hotse passed away peacefully at home while being watched by his family. The agency did not disclose the cause of death, but multiple foreign media outlets reported that Hotse's cause of death was cancer.
Hotse debuted in the 1964 film 'The Crunch'. Especially, in 1968, he appeared in 'Romeo and Juliet', which received great love worldwide, and for this film, he won the 1969 Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama.
Hotse continued her acting career by appearing in works such as "Black Christmas," "Death of the Nile," "Mother Teresa," and "Attention Seekers." However, her filmography has been inactive since 2015, and she was reported to have passed away after more than nine years.
