Health check-up indicating hyperlipidemia...

I postponed my health checkup to avoid bad results, but during the exam, my total cholesterol was found to be high, and I was diagnosed with hyperlipidemia by the doctor and prescribed medication.

I thought that diet was the main cause of hyperlipidemia. Because I have a big appetite, I tend to overeat frequently, and above all, due to my work life, I often had company dinners, consuming greasy foods and alcohol together. That's probably how I developed hyperlipidemia. When I was young, I used to exercise fairly well and didn't have a protruding belly, but at some point, my belly started to show, and even if I exercised for a while, it didn't easily go away. I wasn't even thinking about hyperlipidemia...

The department of treatment is cardiology.

Hyperlipidemia refers to a condition characterized by high levels of fats in the blood, which increases the risk of developing atherosclerotic diseases.

Especially, hypercholesterolemia is considered one of the three major risk factors for arteriosclerosis, along with hypertension and smoking.

Because this is one of the most dangerous symptoms, I was very scared.

Atherosclerosis refers to a condition where fatty substances such as cholesterol or triglycerides mainly accumulate in the blood vessels, causing narrowing of the vessels and loss of elasticity.

The risk of occurrence increases especially as age advances.

I also didn't have it... but at some point, it appeared... and I was confused..

Following the doctor's advice, I am controlling my diet. I was diagnosed with hyperlipidemia.

To reduce hyperlipidemia, I need to lose weight, exercise diligently, and manage my diet well, so I try to be faithful to these efforts. However, as time passes, I become too relaxed, which worries me. I must tighten up my laxity for the day I conquer hyperlipidemia.

    저도 십년 넘게 고지혈증 약을 먹고 있어요.
    급격하게 살이 찐  이후로 진단을
    받아서 약을 먹었습니다
    혈당수치를 낮추기 위해 식이요법과 운동을
    했는데 두달만에 정상이 나왔어요.
    꾸준히 식이요법하시고 운동 하시면
    정상으로 나올거여요.

    제 친구는 젊은 나이인데도 케익을 즐겨먹어서 고지혈증 진단 받았어요. 그런데 약도 안먹고 그냥 지내다가 최근에 헬스 끊어서 운동하고 즐겨먹던 케익 끊고 샐러드 위주로 식사를 하더니 회사 정기 건강검진에서 정상이 나왔다네요. 고지혈증은 식이 조절과 운동으로 얼마든지 극복할 수 있는 병이에요. 너무 스트레스 받지 않는 선에서 대체 식품 찾아서 드시면서 조금씩이라도 운동 꾸준히 하시면 분명 좋아지실거에요!

    고지혈증이 나와서 걱정이겠어요. 확실히 먹는 게 중요하더라고요. 일반 쌀밥이 생각보다 당이 높아서 잡곡밥 중요하다고 합니다. 식단 관리는 평생 해야 하는 거예요 화이팅입니다
