4 Useful Ways to Use Chopsticks

Are you just using chopsticks for eating? Today, I will introduce four surprisingly useful ways to use chopsticks by incorporating them into the kitchen. These are ways to use chopsticks that can be very handy beyond just for meals.

Separate the lid

 

There are times when you need to separate and recycle lids from items like vinegar, cooking oil, and corn syrup. Usually, these types of lids are designed to be difficult to remove easily. So no matter how hard you try to peel them off by hand, they don't come off easily.

 

Now, insert the chopsticks into the opening and use the lever principle to remove the lid. You will see that the lid comes off easily. If the opening is large, it is more convenient to use the back of a spoon to remove it in the same way.

Putting it into the funnel

Do you use a funnel to transfer and store rice, beans, or other items into bottles? If the funnel's hole is large, the contents flow out easily, but if it is narrow, the hole gets blocked, making it difficult for the contents to flow down.

 

In this case, insert chopsticks into a funnel and pour the contents. Then, the liquid will flow along the chopsticks and won't clog, making it easy to transfer.

Making a portable stand

These days, I often look at my smartphone while cooking or working in the kitchen. The problem is that there doesn't seem to be a suitable place to put it, so it's not easy to see.

 

In such cases, first prepare a roll of toilet paper. Insert a chopstick into the center of the toilet paper roll.

Place your smartphone on the chopstick holder. This creates a convenient smartphone stand that is easy to move around. Its small size makes it very portable to carry anywhere.

 

When organizing chopsticks

Do you match each pair of chopsticks by hand when you finish washing dishes and organize them? It's okay when there are only a few, but if there are many, it can take quite a bit of time.

Now, try placing the chopsticks on the cutting board as shown in the picture. Then push them outward. The heavier upper part of the chopsticks will fall to the ground first. Try to hold and organize the remaining parts with your hand.

 

If you organize it this way, no matter how many chopsticks there are, they can be sorted easily and quickly.
