Living practices to reduce carbon footprint
Today is the day to submit the monthly carbon footprint reduction action plan at Daeya Mi Church. The focused ecological practices for September are reducing food waste by 20% and using public transportation instead of private cars. For food waste, if the 20% reduction results in less than 500g for a family of five (based on 100g per person), I will record 0.07kg; if it exceeds 500g, I will record 0kg. I do not own a private car, so I only use the subway for public transportation. While preparing this action plan, I thought a lot about climate change and the disasters happening around the world, which made me realize that I should take small actions. I also plan to ask my acquaintances around me to join in.
