Sharing treatments and prevention methods for alopecia areata
Sometimes, androgenetic alopecia occurs once every few years.
I found out when I was at the hair salon getting a perm, and the stylist told me I had circular hair loss. After I got home and checked, I found about three or four coin-sized spots. It was a shock and very stressful. Those who have experienced this, do you understand how I feel?
When I visited the dermatology clinic, the doctor said that he couldn't determine the exact cause, but he thought it was probably stress. There's not much to be stressed about, but I am really frustrated because I can't find the cause...ㅠㅠ It also tends to recur easily.
Treatment method: Steroid injection into the scalp
I received an injection directly into my scalp with a medication called triamcinolone.
They say that directly injecting into the scalp is a faster treatment.
The pain is a stinging sensation. It hurts, but it's not unbearable; it is painful, but I can tolerate it (I usually tolerate pain well).
I received scalp injections once a week for about a month. Interestingly, my hair grows back after the injections.
If anyone is suffering from alopecia areata, I hope you visit the dermatologist promptly for injection treatment rather than stressing over it.
I know how severe that pain is because I experienced it myself. I was very worried because there didn't seem to be a clear treatment method, but since the injection provides a quick solution, I feel somewhat relieved.
Please make sure to visit the dermatology clinic for injection treatment.
My hair grew back faster than I expected.
Here is a photo of my fully recovered head now.
The gaps that were sparsely filled have all been completed. Recurrences happen frequently, but each time I go to the dermatologist for treatment, I am satisfied.
Sharing some hair loss prevention tips to maintain your hair after alopecia. :)
1. Wash hair every day
2. Thoroughly dry your hair well after washing.
3. Using hair loss shampoo
4. Frequently do scalp massages
5. Avoid frequent perms or hair coloring
+Stress management
These are the things to strictly follow.
I hope this can be of some help to those experiencing alopecia areata.
I recommend that you take good preventive measures regularly and visit a dermatologist immediately if you develop symptoms to receive a scalp injection.
