I had a sudden, intense pain from a tooth cavity that kept me up at night, so I urgently made an appointment and went to the dentist. I had heard that root canals are notoriously painful, so I was really nervous when the anesthesia needle went in, but thanks to the numbing rinse they applied to my gums first, I didn’t feel the injection at all—it was amazing! During the procedure, they used something called a rubber dam to cover my tooth, which kept all the medication and water from getting into my mouth and made it easy for me to breathe while being treated. Even though my nerve canal is curved and complicated and the procedure is known to be tricky, I could see the doctor using something like a high-powered microscope to carefully scrape away the inflammation—it was incredibly delicate work. Usually, root canal treatments require multiple visits, and I was worried about the pain each time I went back, but thanks to the thorough removal of the inflammation on the first day, I was able to finish the treatment without any pain on my subsequent visits. At the final stage, when they made a mold of my tooth and placed the crown, they were very meticulous about matching my bite even from the temporary tooth stage, so the new tooth feels just like my original ones and allows me to chew comfortably without any foreign feeling. I'm extremely satisfied because they managed to save a tooth that was in a difficult state without any unnecessary treatments, allowing me to eat solid foods without any issues up to now.
