I had calf hair removal treatment, and I'm satisfied with the results.

Last summer I did it once and after taking a little break, I started hair removal again this time~ Last year I had my calves and armpits done, and this time I’m getting it done up to my eyebrows too. I'm really satisfied because they do a thorough job!

I am quite hairy. At a certain point in the gym where I first registered, some ladies started rumors about my hair for fun. They said it was quite something. So I changed gyms and tried self-hair removal, but the pain was intense and it grew back quickly, so there was little effect. Then, I happened to see a hair removal product during an event on Cashwalk and consulted about it. It was cheaper than I had vaguely thought, so I received 5 sessions of hair removal for my arms, calves, upper lip, and underarms. Anyway, the results are definitely visible, although it’s still sparse. Five sessions are not enough for complete removal, so I plan to get another session in February or March before it gets warmer.

I made an appointment for hair removal and visited! The facility is clean, and the changing rooms and lockers are well organized for use before the treatment. I had hair removal done on my calves and armpits; it’s a bit factory-like, but you can get it done quickly, so I recommend it. I’ve never had an issue getting a last-minute appointment for the next day! The device has a cooling effect, so it didn't sting or burn as much during the treatment. The female doctor is very kind. I felt a bit awkward at first since I couldn't request a female doctor, but the male doctor’s treatment was not bad at all. If you get folliculitis after the hair removal procedure, they will provide a consultation and prescribe medication, whether oral or topical!

I'm currently getting calf laser hair removal and I've chosen the Apogee laser. I lie on the bed with my calves on display, and they laser the front, then I turn over, and they laser the back of my calves. There's a cold breeze that lessens the pain, but honestly, even without that, it feels significantly milder compared to older lasers. I'm not sure if the lack of sharpness is a good thing or if it means the treatment is less effective. I think it would be good to discuss the intensity adjustment at the beginning. The doctor who performs the treatment isn't fixed; it changes every time. Sometimes the same doctor comes in, and sometimes a different one does, so I understand that there isn’t a designated doctor, and both male and female doctors come in.

I'm also considering Brazilian waxing, but it seems the days when the female doctor is available are not fixed and can change. Furthermore, I've been told that the schedule for next month won't be confirmed until around the end of this month, which makes it a bit tricky to plan ahead. I think the validity period for the treatment coupons is about six months. Since the typical hair removal cycle is around 4-5 weeks, I'm a little worried that if my schedule gets mixed up and I have to postpone a session or two, I might not be able to use everything within the timeframe. Still, aside from these operational concerns, the procedure itself was done neatly, so I'm quite satisfied. It's a good dermatology clinic for hair removal.

Overall, the place was clean and well-organized, which gave me peace of mind about hygiene, and I could definitely feel that my calves looked much neater after the treatment. I think if I keep up with the care, the results will be even better, haha.

However, when I entered the treatment room, there was nowhere to put my clothes, so I had to place them on the edge of the bed. During the treatment, the machine wasn't pulling effectively, and they told me to lie down at the far edge of the bed, which was a bit uncomfortable. I didn't understand why I had to be right on the edge of the bed, almost falling off. There was also a younger staff member with bangs, who was really unfriendly, which left me feeling a bit hurt. I planned to purchase a package of five sessions and do a total of six, but because of that staff member, I decided not to go back. There was no interaction during the registration or after the treatment. It may not always be like this, and it can vary day by day with different people, but that was my experience there.

There are also mini lockers, and each treatment room has separate cabinets, which I liked. However, it seems like there's a slight difference in each treatment room. The doctor rotates, treating patients based on who is available at the time, and so far, I've been satisfied with all of them. I still need to see how effective the hair removal will be, as I have more sessions left. Overall, I'm satisfied.

I started with the calf area and am now doing Brazilian hair removal as well~ The female medical staff are in charge and there’s a separation between male and female areas, so there’s no discomfort! For women, the skin can be sensitive before and after menstruation, making laser treatment feel more prickly than usual, but there hasn’t been any skin redness, and if there are symptoms, just let the medical staff know, and they’ll give you appropriate ointments or treatment methods. They always ask how it was last time and check for desired focused areas before the treatment, ensuring satisfaction! With kind staff and a clean facility, I think it’s worth visiting if you’re looking around Gangnam!
