The most painful part of the surgery was the anesthesia itself, which felt like the discomfort from dental procedures. It was psychologically daunting, but as a man, it was tolerable. Then they pulled the vas deferens, causing a pulling sensation in my lower abdomen, and a burning hair smell was present as one side finished, followed by a repeat on the other side. When I mentioned slight pain during the procedure, they provided additional anesthesia. That's how I became neutered, and it was psychologically unpleasant, which is a trap. As the anesthesia wore off, I felt a pulling sensation in my lower abdomen, but it was tolerable. I highly recommend it because of the doctor.
