The young female doctor is very kind and explains things well. I like the spacious and calm atmosphere here compared to other locations. I usually go here often for Pico toning. I wonder if the acne around my jaw is due to hormonal changes before my period... It comes and goes periodically, leaving behind pigmentation... Even with laser treatment, it comes back the next month, and I get more pigmentationㅠㅠ So I inquired, and they prescribed me Minocycline, which definitely has an effect. I wish I had started taking the medication earlierㅠㅠ

The reason I decided to visit Define Dermatology Clinic was because my adult acne worsened due to prolonged mask-wearing, along with pigmentation issues, which caused me a lot of stress whenever I went out. I tried to manage it myself, but there was no improvement, so I felt I needed professional treatment. The consultation was conducted directly by the head doctor, who didn't just look at my skin's surface but used imaging equipment to thoroughly explain the progression of the inflammatory acne and the causes of pigmentation. I was diagnosed with inflammatory acne and post-acne pigmentation. The treatment involved calming the skin first to reduce irritation, then selectively extracting areas as needed, followed by laser treatment. I visited because of acne scars on my right jawline. The scar is about 1cm, hard, and has remaining pigmentation, and I was advised that about 5 sessions of Vbeam laser and injection treatments should improve it, and I have currently completed 4 sessions. It's a local clinic, so unlike factory-type dermatology, it's quiet, calm, friendly, and convenient ㅎㅎ The doctor carefully does the laser treatments step by step, and the skincare assistant is very attentive during extraction and gently touches my skin. The last place I went to was a bit too rough, which made me uneasy heh.. I think I'll stick with this place for a while!!

No matter how I thought about it, the beautician insisted on forcibly extracting even the smallest blackheads, resulting in physical damage, and I requested the doctor change the treatment method as it seemed like inflamed wounds. However, they questioned whether I had any allergies apart from the medication, or if there had been any recent changes in my diet, as if they were flawless and could not possibly be at fault... I prepaid 2 million won for 10 sessions and persistently continued despite having doubts. Yet, two months after the final treatment, what the hospital had insisted were acne did not contain any pus or infection inside... In other words, it turned out to be not acne or inflammation, but a microvascular issue caused by physical irritation. Because of this, I'm spending more money at another hospital for V-beam treatment. I specifically sought out a clinic claiming to specialize in acne, but now I deeply regret it. It’s not even at a level where makeup can conceal it. They can’t even distinguish between acne and inflammation caused by wounds.

I had Picotoning done. This was my second session, and the doctor was really, really thorough and kind. The receptionists were also friendly. The waiting time was short, and I was very satisfied. Picotoning feels like someone is gently tapping with an incredibly thin comb? It’s not painful. Even the thinner areas felt more like a light tapping rather than a hard hit. My face does turn slightly red, but it calms down right away on the way home. I think this is a big advantage because I need to be able to work again. Even though it’s out of the question for the day I received the laser, I can get back to my daily life the next day.
