I went there on the recommendation of friends. I got examined at Onnuri Smile Eye Center for Smile LASIK and also received retinal laser treatment. They are professional and kind. It's conveniently connected to Gangnam Station, and even though it's underground, the atmosphere is nice. The optometrists are extremely friendly, professional, and gentle. There’s a very famous doctor for Smile LASIK, Dr. Kim Bug-ki, so I think I’ll probably have my Smile LASIK surgery with him. The examination for LASIK took about an hour, and they were very thorough, which was great since it was free. During that process, I found out that I needed retinal laser treatment, so I ended up having the procedure that same day, which felt reliable and good. I think it’s probably the most famous hospital for LASIK, LASEK, and Smile LASIK in the Gangnam area, which gave me the confidence to decide to go ahead with the surgery. There were a lot of people, but the treatment process and guidance were smooth, and they explained everything in detail one-on-one before the procedure, which made me feel at ease and trusted their expertise.

I had a consultation with the doctor, and since there were no particular issues, he recommended the SMILE procedure. Personally, I felt like he had that professional doctor vibe you see on TV. From reviews, it looks like he has a lot of experience and a good background, which probably contributed to that. He was calm and provided a good consultation, which I appreciated. I have scheduled my surgery for before the holiday, so now I'm just waiting for the surgery day!

From basic vision tests to corneal thickness, eye pressure, dry eye level, and the retina, each test was explained by the staff, so I could understand what I was going through. For important items, I felt that they repeated measurements two or three times to ensure accuracy. At the end, they used an AI program to analyze the overall results and recommend a suitable surgery method. The head doctor personally showed me the AI analysis results on the screen while explaining it. I tend to have a lot of questions, but they answered each one, allowing me to understand and make my decision. On the day of the surgery, they explained the entire process once again. The surgery time was really short; it felt like just lying down for a moment. In the evening of that day, my eyes felt a bit dry, but I used eye drops and rested. The next day, I was able to wash my face and went straight to work without any discomfort. It's been about a month now, and my vision has been maintained well, with no dryness or side effects. The hospital app allows me to check my vision and make outpatient appointments, which is convenient. If you’ve been thinking about it for a long time, I recommend starting with an examination.
