I woke up in the morning with lots of crust in my eyes, making it hard to open them, and when I looked in the mirror, my eyes were really bloodshot and very swollen. Both eyes were in pretty bad shape, so I quickly threw on a hat and went to Suseong Eye Clinic, which is nearby. Before I went, I called to ask about the number of patients waiting, and they told me to come right in without an appointment, so I rushed over. Walking was tough because my eyes were so swollen. Fortunately, when I arrived, there was only one elderly patient who appeared to be a regular, so I got seen right away. The doctor suggested I might have allergic conjunctivitis and prescribed some antibiotic eye drops and oral antibiotics. After using the eye drops and taking the oral antibiotics, I definitely felt better. Since it was triggered by my allergic rhinitis, I need to manage it better in the future.
