I received treatment from Dr. Jeong at Seongbuk Samsung Orthopedic Clinic. I visited due to plantar fasciitis. Plantar fasciitis is often used interchangeably with heel pain, and pain on the sole of the foot, especially on the inside of the heel, is a typical symptom. The most common pattern is severe pain when taking that first step in the morning, which tends to ease a bit after a few steps, but worsens again after standing or walking for a long time. The pain in my heel was gradually extending all the way up to my back, and after taking X-rays at Seongbuk Samsung Orthopedic Clinic, it was confirmed that there was a bone growth on my heel causing the pain. I also had some issues with a herniated disc... 😢 We decided to proceed with medication and physical therapy together. I was advised to wear cushioned shoes at home and also to apply cold compresses. We will have a follow-up appointment in two weeks.

Having internal medicine, neurosurgery, and orthopedics all in one place is great. The orthopedic department has a large physical therapy room on the basement floor, making treatment convenient. The hospital is old, so there are many patients and a lot of people waiting. The waiting room is a bit small compared to the number of patients, so if you pick the wrong date, it can get very chaotic like a flea market. I'm receiving internal medicine treatment for my blood pressure. The internal medicine doctor is a young physician and very kind, so even if I ask questions, they answer kindly. There are two nurses in internal medicine, with one experienced and older nurse who is also kind, and since she has worked there for a long time, she answers my questions well. When I mention my blood pressure medications and symptoms like orthostatic hypotension, they adjust my prescriptions nicely.
