At first, I thought it was just seasonal dryness, so I was just sipping warm water and trying to cope, but as time passed, I started feeling chills and my voice began to change. When I arrived at the hospital and waited to be seen, the doctor carefully examined my throat and diagnosed me with pharyngitis. He said the inside of my throat was very swollen and that the inflammation was visibly alarming, adding that if it had been left untreated, it could have led to a high fever. I received some basic respiratory treatment and got a prescription. After taking the anti-inflammatory and antibiotic I was prescribed, I noticed that the painful 'scratchiness' had significantly diminished within just a day. The doctor advised me to keep drinking warm and lukewarm water frequently. I could definitely feel my condition recovering quickly with the medication. I appreciated how kindly they treated me.
