Extraction orthodontics vs non-extraction orthodontics[3]

I understand that it may not be applicable to all cases of non-extraction orthodontics. Is it correct to say that this only applies in cases where the problem is simply related to the teeth? One friend has a receding chin, and the other friend has a protruding jaw. I received a diagnosis at the same hospital. My friend with an overbite said that non-extraction orthodontics is possible. My friend with a protruding jaw said they need to undergo extraction orthodontics. My friend with a protruding jaw went to another hospital, received a diagnosis, and was told that non-extraction orthodontics is possible. The previous hospital said it was not possible, but the other hospital said it was possible, so they are very conflicted. Orthodontics isn't easy. Just as each dental clinic recommends different products, does orthodontic treatment also follow the style of the doctor?
