As the temperature suddenly drops, the health of diabetes patients is in crisis.

 

When it is cold, blood vessels constrict, and blood circulation worsens. At this time, diabetic patients may already have narrowed peripheral blood vessels due to atherosclerosis, and when blood is pushed toward the core body in the cold, the risk of diabetic foot complications and other issues increases. To prevent this, diabetic patients should make efforts to ensure that blood circulates well throughout the body.

It is important to do indoor exercises that help improve blood circulation every day. It is best to do so during the relatively warm daytime, starting about an hour after a meal, for 30 to 40 minutes. Here are some exercises that are good for diabetics to do in winter.

Bend your waist and twist your torso, spreading your legs wider than shoulder-width and extending both arms straight to the sides. Twist your torso and lightly touch your left thumb with your right hand, then return to the original position. Repeat alternately left and right for 20 times. This exercise stimulates the muscles connecting the upper and lower body at once. By stimulating the core, it promotes blood circulation throughout the entire body.

Turn outward of the pelvis. While standing upright, place both hands on your hips, lift your right leg to a right angle at hip height, and slowly rotate outward. Hold the position for 3 seconds, then pull your knee forward facing front, and lower your foot. Repeat 20 times on each side. This exercise is good for people who sit for long periods. It can improve blood circulation in the lower body.

 

This is an exercise that can raise your overall body temperature while jumping in place. It also effectively burns body fat, making it beneficial for diabetic patients who need to manage their weight. Lightly jump in place, imagining lifting your knees to waist level. Keep your upper body from leaning back by engaging your abdominal muscles, and perform the exercise for 20 seconds.

    캐시닥이 아닌 다른 앱에서 홈트 하는 거 있잖아요. 저는 그거에 덕을 톡톡히 보고 있어요. 열 번까지 할 수 있는데.. 중간에 몇 번 쉬었다 해야 돼요. 그만큼 제대로 하면 힘들더라고요. 다들 건강 유지 잘하세요.
