The foul smell of food waste... Sprinkle this powder and it disappears

Food waste=

Sprinkling green tea powder, coffee grounds, or similar substances on food waste helps with deodorization. This is because components like tannins found in green tea and coffee are effective in removing bad odors.

✔️ Cutting bread and placing it together with food waste can help reduce odors. Bread has many tiny holes that effectively trap odor molecules.

In addition, sprinkling baking soda on food waste also prevents odors. This neutralizes the acidity of the food waste and prevents decay. It is also good to sprinkle baking soda on the bottom and walls of the food waste bin. Spraying soju is also an effective method.

Mix water and soju in a 3:1 ratio and spray evenly over food waste to eliminate odors. The alcohol content in soju neutralizes the smell.

✔️If soju is not available, vinegar can also be used. The acetic acid in vinegar eliminates bacteria and mold and reduces bad odors.

Towel smell=

If a towel still smells after washing and drying, it means bacteria and mold have already proliferated on the towel. In this case, adding 1 to 2 teaspoons of vinegar can help.

✔️ Vinegar has a strong sterilizing effect and inhibits the growth of Morsarella bacteria, which cause unpleasant odors inside fabrics. Additionally, the acidity of vinegar neutralizes residual alkaline detergent components, making clothes softer. However, direct contact of vinegar with fabrics may cause discoloration, so it is better to dilute it in water before use. The smell of vinegar evaporates during the drying process, so there is no need to worry.

Smell of the side dish container=

Rice water has excellent deodorizing and cleaning effects. It is especially good to use rice water when washing kitchen containers such as side dish containers. Soaking containers with residual odors from kimchi, soybean paste, or other foods in rice water for an hour helps the starch in the rice water remove stains and absorb odors. Dishes with grease can also be cleaned by soaking them in rice water.

▷Humidity=

When moisture accumulates inside the house, it not only feels damp but also produces odors. In such cases, using plants to purify the air and regulate humidity is also an effective method. Placing large-leaved, broad-leaved foliage plants native to tropical regions in the living room allows the stomata (small pores connecting the plant's epidermal tissue to the external atmosphere) or roots to absorb pollutants and control humidity. Foliage plants include bamboo, Taiwanese rubber trees, dracaenas, palms, and polycias. In bathrooms, plants that absorb moisture such as ananas, wandering jew, ferns, and spathiphyllum are suitable. Besides the bathroom, any place with high humidity can be used. If moisture inside the house is caused by rain-soaked shoes, try drying charcoal, coffee grounds, or green tea bags and placing them in the shoe cabinet. Additionally, laying newspaper on the bottom of the shoe cabinet helps remove moisture and prevents mold growth.
