A magical morning routine that promotes health and aids in dieting
- Regular morning exercise
Exercising on an empty stomach in the morning is the best time to burn fat throughout the day. If your body has more fat than muscle, morning exercise is even more suitable. On an empty stomach, because of low blood sugar, the body does not use blood glucose composed of carbohydrates but instead primarily uses body fat as an energy source. Aerobic exercises such as walking, running, or jogging are especially effective. Before exercising, make sure to warm up your body sufficiently through a warm-up, and don't forget to stretch to loosen up your muscles that have stiffened overnight!
- Eating two eggs in the morning helps with weight loss?
Boiled eggs, a regular item on breakfast menus, are especially popular among athletes. In fact, there are research findings suggesting that eating eggs in the morning can aid in dieting. Dr. Nick Hill Zeranzar and his team at the Pennington Biomedical Research Center at Louisiana State University compared a group that ate two eggs in the morning with a group that ate the same amount of bread, and found that the egg-eating group lost over 65% of their body weight and even had more energy throughout the day than those who ate bread. This is because eggs are a prime example of a high-protein diet. Proteins require a lot of energy to digest and help keep the stomach feeling full for a longer period, preventing snacking.
- A hot glass of water instead of coffee on an empty stomach in the morning
Drinking a glass of water in the morning is known to help eliminate stagnant waste and toxins during restful sleep and to awaken the organs. In particular, warm water is beneficial. Recently, the 'hot water diet' has become popular, with recommended water temperature between 50-55°C. In fact, drinking this water may feel slightly hot. Drinking enough water an hour before meals can not only reduce food intake through a sense of fullness but also help boost metabolism. There is also research indicating that a 1°C increase in body temperature can raise immunity by more than five times. However, be careful not to drink too much water immediately before meals, as it can impair digestion.
- Eating breakfast too early in the morning is forbidden.
As the food you resisted throughout the night lingers in your mind, do you find yourself putting something in your mouth as soon as you wake up in the morning? Unfortunately, delaying breakfast as much as possible is also said to be helpful for dieting. As part of the dietary method known as 'intermittent fasting,' maintaining a fast for at least 16 hours allows the stored fat in the body to be effectively used as an energy source. To maintain a 16-hour fast, if you had your last meal at 8 p.m., it is recommended to have your first meal at 12 p.m. If you are someone who needs to eat in the morning to feel energized or if you skip dinner, you can have breakfast around 8 a.m. and finish your meals by 2 p.m. Even if you are not doing full intermittent fasting, to keep the fasting period between dinner and breakfast as long as possible, it is advisable to avoid the habit of eating immediately upon waking up in the morning.
